I am a newbie who was advised by the Audioholics here to buy the speakers first and then buy components around it.
So in the Good Guys closing Sale, I was able to lay my hands on the following:
Mirage's Floorstanding speaker [Omni 250 for $25 (MSRP $250);
http://miragespeakers.com/omni250.shtml]
Mirage's Surround speaker [Omni FX for $18 (MSRP $180);
http://miragespeakers.com/omniFX.shtml]
Energy's Center Channel [Take LCR for $40 (MSRP $250);
http://www.energy-speakers.com/v2/products/product-page.php?id=34
All of the above are single piece and not pairs as more of the same were unavailable. Since i didnt have any time to research these, i bought them as they looked a good buy at these prices.
I have also deicded to buy Hsu Research's STF-1 sub alongwith Pioneer's VSX 1015 or VSX 52TX and Pioneer's DV-588AS as i get 40-50% discount on Pioneer products.
Now my question is, can the above mentioned speaker/cc/surround be used as part of the same system and if yes, then what other speakers i need to buy to complement them OR do i discard these and buy a fresh set of speakers?
Any response will be highly appreciated.
Regards,
JK
