How to get rca out sound to my tv through my yammy

I have a yamaha 4600, but the answer probably applies to the 1600 or 2600.

I would like to feed an rca signal from my yamaha to the audio input on my tv. I would like this signal to not be affected by any volume control on the yamaha, like a monitor out comparable to the video monitor. True some of the video inputs have corresponding outs but for signals that use component inputs there isn't any direct out. I'm a little overwhelmed by the features still and I'm getting through the manual a little at a time, but can't find a way to accomplish this.

Would the zone 3 output be an option, seeing as how I don't plan to use any multizone functions?

It looks to me, that the rca's for zone 3 would be what you are looking for. You might try the record out rca's, if zone 3 doesn't work. They shouldn't be affected by the volume level.

I know what you mean about it being overwhelming. I have had my RX-V1600 for about a month now and still learning.

Yeah I just came across that. My concern was that the volume would affect the sound level but you can set it to fixed vs. variable. I'll try it and follow up with what I find.

Thanks man!
