How to get best video through Pioneer VSX-82

Ya so, i have a Pioneer VSX -82 with 3 video inputs: 2 HDMI, and one component. My HDMI are a PS3 Blu-ray and Bell (satellite) TV at 720p. I'm wondering if the Pioneer is converting those signals or if in can get them to go through the Amp and get to the projector. Mainly because i want to change my Mitsubishi HC1500 to an Epson 8500UB thus from 720p to 1080p... i would like the projector to process the video the signal not the amp... Sould i just connect the Blu-ray directly to the projector and bypass the Amp, or can i run the video signal through the amp without altering it... because if i do that, i will need two HDMI cable to go to my projector..

Thanks,
am i making any sense??

Oh ya, in my AV settings, i have "Resolution" with 4 choices: PURE, 480p, 720p, and 1080i. wich i have on PURE. And Digital video conversion on or off.. it's at off right now..

:confused:

Your settings work for your current setup.

Resolution = Pure, passes the signal with no scaling. What you want.
Aspect = Through
Conversion = On, so that anything connected via the other video inputs is up-converted to HDMI
Or OFF if only using the HDMI inputs.

Thanks, do you know if the pure setting diminishes video quality going through ?...

I don't think so but i read somewhere pioneer was not perfect in video processing.

:rolleyes:
