How to Enable Dolby True HD/DTS-HD?

I have a PS3 with several Blu-ray's. Connected to it is an HK 254 receiver with 5.1 surround.

Am I supposed to manually change anything in the receiver's settings in order to get hi-def sound? I see nothing in the surround modes that says Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD. Just want to make sure.

Thanks for your help.

Edit: Btw, I did change the PS3 output settings from bitstream to linear PCM. It's also connected via HDMI.

The PS3 decodes them for you. You need to do nothing. If your seeing mult-ch PCM on your receiver display then you are good!

You will see the icons of 5 or 7 speakers depending on the track.

If you aren't seeing them. You need to setup your ps3 properly. There are 2 places for audio settings on the ps3.
