Hey everyone!

I was wondering how would I go about connecting my 5.1 speakers that are plugged into my dvd player into my TV so I am also able to watch a DVD, and hear sound from the 5.1 speakers PLUS my TV internal speakers. Thank in adv

Why would you want to run the TV speakers along with the 5.1 setup? The whole point is to replace the ultra-cheapie TV speakers with something better.

You can't hook up five speakers to your tv.

But, if the DVD player has red/white audio outputs (virtually all do) and your stereo TV has the standard red/white/yellow audio/visual inputs (many, not all, do), you can fed the sound, (red/white jacks) as well as the video (yellow jack) from the DVD to your TV.

The fact that you can play your DVD through your TV is a good sign. You might just need another set of sudio cables.

It isn't difficult. Read your manuals.

Money is an issue right now, and I needed an easy solution to my problem, which is that the front speakers are playing too low, and it is hard to hear voices. So with all the speakers playing and the tv it should sound ok for now. Plus this is in my room, so I dont need the fancy system as if it were my den or something. Thanks for the help though.
