How to access the Denon GUI?

I just got a Denon 4308ci. I do not have a hdmi tv setup. Just a verizon digital cable box and regular TV. I have it hooked up to the reciever and I can not access the GUI menu? I feel like an idiot. Any advice on how I can get the menu to dispay?

It's a bit of a pain, but you can access everything from the screen on the reciever itself. It's just not very intuitive, but I've used it before with my old unit(2805) and my current one (3808ci).

Try different cables too, component, s-video, even analog. Just make sure to switch the input on your tv to match that.
