How much does it cost for wiring?

Hi
I got Bose Lifestyle 48 system. Its 5.1 channel system with 5 speakers and subwoofer and a dvd paleyer. But my home is not pre-wired for home theatre. I am wondering how much it costs to get the wiring done by a contractor (i.e To run the wires behind the sheet rock to conceal them and for all those extra wires or plates needed)?
These will be installed in Family room which is open to ceiling (i.e there is no separation between 2nd and first floors). The home was built four years back. I called local contractor. I am trying to get an idea what the proper price is before I start bargaining.

get rid of those boose. I'm sorry i don't mean to...well best way to go is get a few contractors to your house to do a few estimates. As now we don't know how big is your ht room and what your needs and wants are.

Keep in mind this is a rough figure, but you are probably looking in the neighborhood of 50 to 75 dollers an hour plus the cost of materials.

...may not use standard wiring such a RCA-type connectors and speaker wiring...the may have proprietary connectors...BTW, it's not a subwoofer...it's a Bass Module as I recall

More than Bose is worth. If you can't return the product, sell it on ebay.

Start over. It will be well worth the money.
