As many as me!

I think its 5 or 10.

If you have gear to sell, you must know something (unless its Bose). How about, posting some responses in the forum, making some friends, and increasing your chance of a sale? :)

Gee, I'm starting to wonder...

Did you join here just to post?

I always figured that being a member of the community came first and sellingto your "friends" was a side benefit.

With the number of recent posts questioning how many posts one needs to list a classified makes me wonder about the sincerity of some newbies here lately. This ain't craigslist and I hope it never becomes one.

there is no need to bash me. i joined this forum for the large wealth of information from experienced people that i would like to make friends with. yes i am what you would consider a newbie and i really dont care about that "labeling". i am here to make friends, learn more about home theater and if i can...then yes offer deals for equipment that i am either looking to upgrade or no longer use.

I don't believe in any way you were being "labeled".

Though it would seem from your haste that your only intentions for joining was to advertise items for sale. Your other posts also point to that end.

We welcome all sorts of new members every day. Some join just to ask a few questions then end up sticking around (like me). Unfortunately some have tried to use this site toward their own personal financial gain. Those members are usually weeded out fairly quickly. It's up to you show us your intentions.

Welcome to Audioholics!

Agreed. I did not read that into the post. It always pays to read carefully.

Well at least it's better then some. Ask a question in a post then disappear.

PS: At this rate though he'll surpass mtrycrafts by the end of the year!:D

Yes. 17 posts in 10 hours will break all records! Particularly if extrapolated over a year!

Ease up a bit conseit68, Mark was not bashing you.

It wasn't a bashing.

It was simply an observation based on what I've seen here in the past. If, once you meet the minimum post count to sell your stuff, over time you offer more valid*posts that prove you are "of the body", time will prove me wrong, won't it?

*"valid" meaning more in the spirit of the forum in general, not just to puff up a post count in order to meet a minimum.

Don't worry, conseit68- you'll get there. One thing people tend to forget is that not all members of a community are highly vocal. There are several forums where I've lurked without registering for a year, but where I still read the content nearly every day.

Sometimes a 'new' face isn't as new as you think.:)

This thread reminds me of something i should have done some time ago. I promised i was going to give out one more watercolor painting to members here. ;) What do you need to do to get it...I'll be back later with the requirements....
