Deaf people learn speech via puffs

Thanks for that interesting article link. My wife, a speech pathologist, says it is common knowledge in her field that to teach a deaf person to speak you use puffs of air to help them distinguish between aspirated sounds (like the "pa" and "ta") and unaspirated sounds (the "ba" and "da").
