Hi all,

I have a Samsung FP-T6374. I just bought the Panasonic BD30. I'd like to see what the 1080/24p performance is but I can't find, in the manual, or anywhere if this TV will do this. Is this an Auto-Detect thing? How would I find this or does someone know?

Thanks,
Todd

According to this, it will do 1080p60 but not 1080p24.

But you could send it 1080p24 and see if you get a picture, however, to get the benefits a 24fps source offers, the display will need a refresh rate that is a multiple of 24.

Thank you Sir,
I couldn't find that anywhere. I assumed this TV would do it since it's relativly new, however, I don't even know what the benefits are. If it don't do it then I guess it doesn't matter cuz I'm not gonna run out and buy another that does.
Again..Thank you,
Todd

I'm not familiar with your panel and it's feature set, but when my tv is fed a 1080p/24f signal it pauses briefly and a pop up window comes up to inform me of the change. At any time however, I can hit "info" on my Samsung tv remote and the pop up window will come up and tell me what kind of signal it is being fed. Also, check your player and see if you can manually on the fly change what kind of signal it outputs; mine is set to "source direct" meaning the player will auto detect what kind of media it is and send the appropriate signal over HDMI (1080p/24f for movie material). If the player is set to output 1080p/60f then by God, that is what your tv will get! ;). Hope this helps.
