How do you open grill to AR2x?

Recently picked up a pair of AR2x's. Cabinets as well as front grill sealed tightly as if you aren't supposed to ever service loudspeaker. Well, upon firing them up when I got home, they sound dull, muddy. I suspect damaged/rotted cone or surrounds, but how to inspect them without ruining grill or damage to oiled walnut cabinet? Thanks all.

I had some and the grills were held on with velcro. You're right, the surrounds were foam and are probably rotted. Just try prying the cloth off from a corner. It seems like that's where the velcro was.
