How do you deal with cable clutter?

Just interested in seeing how you guys deal with cable clutter. I had the pleasure today of unhooking everything and hooking it back up, and it doesn't look any better than it did before. I've tried twist ties, velcro, etc, but it still looks like a mess.
5 speakers and a sub, cd, dvd, receiver, md, tape deck, playstation2, dreamcast, gamecube, airport express, tv, wireless game adapter

I may have more wires than some of you (but i doubt i'm the only one with this many). Anyone with any secrets to organize this mess?

Mine's all behind the entertainment center, so it really doesn't matter too much. I try to tie all the cables for one device together to help keep them straight. The one thing I came up with that has been a godsend is I used a shrinktube printer at work and made labels for all the cable ends, so everything is clearly marked for plugging in--very helpful after fishing a wad of look-alike cables through the back of the center.

Velcro straps works for me, but I only use it for certain items. Can't see any of my cables unless you stick your head behind either. I have an open rack, but the cables are hidden behind gear and doors. The more gear you have, the more cables you will have, so cable clutter is a fact of life, unfortunately. It's a good problem to have, isn't it?
