On the advice of a member of the Audioholic family, I purchased and will soon be receiving the Emotiva USB DAC Digital pre amp which I intend to use to play music from my ipod and CD player. 90% from Ipod.

I am also looking at buying multiple amps to supply power to up to 6 sets of speakers throughout my home...3 sets (2 speakers each) to begin.

The used amps I am considering are the Crown Com-tech 410's which I can pick up for $75/each...5 in total.

My question is, how can I send (split) the signal from the preamp to the multiple amps? I seem to recall some daisy chain procedure...?

You won't need multiple amps to achieve. 1 with a impedance matching speaker selector with volume control will do the trick.
