How do un-link Facebook?

I linked my facebook account to Audioholics. I thought it was just the social thing, so members could find you on Facebook. However, it also offers to post an update on Facebook every time I post... which is annoying since I don't want to do that (and don't expect anyone on Facebook to want to see my thoughts on audio/video 5 times a day).

How do I un-link my facebook? I can't find any option...or is there a setting someplace that leaves my facebook linked but doesn't offer to post updates each time I post?

On Facebook, go to the "account" tab in the upper right, click on "application settings" then on "audioholics" then "additional permissions"
I don't have my accounts linked, but I'm assuming this would be how that is done.

Don't link to it in the first place ... what are you doing on Facebook to begin with?
I'm not on it and I'm sailing through life trouble free. :D
Technology is evil. Use smoke signals ... not that kind of smoke either. :)

That was it! Thanks. I kept looking for a setting on here.

Haha, I'm on Facebook because my college was one of the first to get it - there were only a few schools on Facebook (called thefacebook at the time) and it was used as much as a 'people in your class' sort of thing than what it is now. I guess I just never deleted it and I still use it to keep in touch with people I don't see often.

K, Facebook keeps haunting me. It's back.

Every time I reply, I get a thing saying "You must login to Facebook to share this post with your friends"

I deleted my Facebook account, to solve this problem...along with Facebook being annoying and creepy... which was a process in itself... like "Are you sure you want to leave facebook? You will no longer talk to your friends... just look at these friends" and then it had pictures of the friends I must creep on the most or something. Then it had me solve riddles to delete my account.

Anyways, so that is done, but now I'm still getting the pop-up windows asking me about sharing with my friends.

I should have never linked up...I knew that was a bad idea...damnit...

Noooooo....heeeelllppppp

There must be a setting on Audioholics... I've checked User CP....HEEEELLLPPPPPPP

Reopen your facebook account and check the "Application Settings" to see if Audioholics shows up there. Probably as simple as unchecking a checkmark.

Never linked mine, so, no real idea.

Sorry dude, same problem here. I have found that is might have something to do with a registry setting since it's only a real problem for me with my home computer.

I can't access FB at work, so I log straight into AH. I don't even get asked about FB when posting.

If it's only happening on specific computers, wouldn't it most likely be a cookie issue? Has anyone tried deleting the cookies and then logging in again?

No, I'm not going to try this. I'm not linked and don't wish to be.

Good idea on the cookies. I just tried that with no success.

Damn you Facebook....damn you.

Nope, not a cookie issue. If I clear out my temp internet files and cookies I still get asked to sign on to FB when I post. I just choose to cancel and it will then post. If I don't clear out the temp files it won't continue with the post whne hitting cancel.

Somehow it's like there's an entry in the registry.....

FACEBOOK = MALWARE :mad:

There must be some kind of plugin added to the site for facebook connectivity, and then the programmer forgot to add a way for people to remove it. So once you login once, its there forever.

This Facebook-connect thing is like the herpes of the Internet. One mistake and it is with you for life.:D

Try "Account -> Application Settings -> audioholics "edit settings" -> Addtional Permissions"

I got so angry I deleted my Facebook account, so its not that. It's something in the vbulletin script for facebook linkage. I think it just doesn't have an option for you to remove it, so once you link up, the script is always looking for facebook when you post. I made things no better by deleting my facebook account (other than grandma can't see when someone posts a picture of me dry humping Ronald McDonald at 3am...)

I'm truly lost.

Still no luck.

Does anyone use the Facebook link? Can they remove it? That would probably help. :)
