i hear that if u have an older cd player or one without good DACs its better to digitaly transfer the signal and have a good reciever do the conversion from digital to analog. if this is correct please read on.

i have a mini Onkyo cd player.(CS-210 model) i want to use it as my main cd player for my stereo for my living room. since i dont want to spend money on another cd player. and since the DAC on the cd player isnt great, its only a Single Bit DAC. but the cd player does have a optical and coaxial output. i want to use that to connect to my reciever. but now i will need a reciever with a good DAC , so i can get the better sound. how do i find what reciever has what DAC to convert my audio. or which rciever would u recommend for the best sound. also i would like the reciever to be able to power 100 watts per channel minimum (since i dont want to get a seperate amplifier)
