House Party Music System (With CAD drawings)

I'm redesigning a room some of my friend use for house parties at their house. I have modeled the room to "ballparked" scale in CAD and attached the drawings of how I want this room to finish off like.

I'm looking for suggestions on speaker placement and the placement of the two subwoofers, as well as suggestions on the actual gear itself (I want two subs and four speakers).

For speakers I want highly effecient ones (I was thinking Klipsh?) because they will be played at high volumes (see: live DJ, me). The subs I want to be able to take a beating as well. But, he needs to stay on a budget of say 1100's in speakers (he already has cables, a 5.1 Yahmaha reciever, of unknown power at this point... the budget is just for speakers).

I want to mount the speakers up high above the crowd for better sound distribution.

Any comments or general suggestions are welcome. I'm very open right now! Thanks in advance!

-Chad

PS. You can even tell me my design is total crap and rethink the whole thing!

VERY TENATIVE, here is the model I whipped up:

(yes that pole is what you think it is)

I should also note that while sound quality is important to me, these people are also very interested in volume. I wanted to go the +4 route myself, but they want to stick with -10 home audio stuff.

You mention the Yamaha receiver. Yamaha + Klipsch is usually not a very well looked upon combo (overly bright). Otherwise, Klipsch would be an excellent choice. I'll leave recommendations to others...I've never been interested in the loudness of speakers.

I think he'll be getting another reciever for this new system, and purchase it around the speakers rather then purchasing speakers around the reciever. Which, in his case, is probably best. But, seperate budget. However, any recommendations would be great (for reciever) when mentioning speaker recommendations.

Thanks for the response,
-Chad

For the Klipsch, I would recommend something from Marantz, Harman/Kardon, or NAD. They're all a neutral to warm sound, and they all have well rated power supplies (that will really feed the efficient Klipsch).

I think you'd find the Klipsch Synergy B-3s more than sufficient. The RB-35 may be preferred. Either way, I'd look into SVS subs. They give a great amount of output, are well controlled, and can take a beating (*I have never heard the SVS's, this is based upon the multitude of good things written about them).

Those B-3s look like a good solution. Nice effeciency and good power handling.

Is Klipsch really the only company completing in the home audio horn market?
