hookup help

I need to hook up my cable box, tv, recordable dvd, vcr and a/v receiver. I also want to use my new dvd recorder to record TV cable programs. I would also like to record some old vhs home movies onto my dvd recorder discs. Any hookup ideas would help, Thanks!
