Hooking up Receiver to Amp via Mixer opinion.

My last thread was to hook up a Yamaha RX-V3800 to the MX-1. My other question is, would it be okay if I hook up my Receiver pre-out to the Mixer input and then out to the Yamaha MX-1. Would it reduces the quality of sound? Thank you.

What is the purpose of putting the mixer at that point? The degree of quality degradation will depend on the specification of your mixer. It it is a cheap mixer expect significant degradation.

thanks

I thought about doing it and know for sure this will degrade the sound quality. The reason of this mixer is for Karaoke. I couldnt figure out a way to use this mixer for all sources that hook up to the receiver. So far only 1 source works.
