Hooking up component connections ?

I'm new here and this looks like a great site. I've tried searching with no luck. My question is, what is the best way to hook up component cables?
I have a denon avr 5800, pioneer dvd player recorder (lost manual) and jvc lcos high def t.v. All have component hook ups.

You should be able to download the manual through Pioneer's website. What is your TV source; cable/box, satellite?

It's a satellite hookup. I'll check out the pioneer site for the manual.
Thank you. Any other suggestions? I just want to hook it up the best and most simple way. All my manuals show different ways.
