have three receiver's linked together, record out to front aux, two yamaha, vo295's and one yamaha v1070, running seperat high power main speaker's from each, for total stereo 2 channel sound only, question, will adding eq's to each, for tweaking be unsafe? generally one would think the controller receiver's eq, would tweak them all, but it does not do the job to satisfy me, couldn''t i just lower the output on all following eq's from the first one, to escape distortion and clipping?

OK, nobody else has jumped in so I'll bite. Why link 3 receivers together? What are you trying to accomplish?

Are you sure the tape out is EQed?
'm pretty sure the "Tape Out" jacks on any receiver is before any equalization, or anything else for that matte, It's located right after the input selector and before any other preamp functions.

Well,as I stated, i use multiple receiver's, because I use three sets of towers, all used in, old school stereo, using no effects, on receiver's, only two main channels on each receiver, it works great, as i can remotely control, volume ect. On each receiver, and each set of speakers, spread around my large room, it satisfies me, in this way, just wondering if hooking the extra we'd from pre out, on each linked receiver is ok, this is the opinion i wanted, I'm all hooked up, sounding great, i guess i should just try it, thanks for all the input
