8) DIRECT TV HD TIVO RECEIVER

MY QUESTION ARE HOOK PROCEDURES,
DO I COME OUT OF HDDVR(SAT) WITH HDMI CABLE TO RECEIVER
THEN HDMI CABLE FROM RECEIVER OUT TO IN ON LCD TV(VIDEO 1 )
IF SO HOW DOES TV RECEIVE PICTURE FEED WHEN STEREO RECEIVER IS OFF, I DO NOT NEED TO ALWAYS HAVE SURROUND SOUND ON WHEN LISTEN TO TV.
IF SO BASICLY EVERYTHING IS RUNNING OUT OF THE 805 RECEIVER
DO I NEED A HDMI SWITCHER BOX?
WHAT IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN $20.00 HDMI CABLE AND THE MONSTER CABLE FOR $175.00-$350.00 IS THEIR MUCH DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY.
IF ANYONE IS ABLE TO HELP AND ADD ANYTHING TO THE DISCUSSION IT WOULD BE A BIG HELP. I BI-WIRED THE SPEAKERS WITH 12GA CABLES

If you would like to use the tv without the receiver, then yes you will need to run another wire straight to the tv. But why would you is the bigger question?

Thank You For The Reply. The Main Reason I Would Like To Run Tv Without Receiver Is My 10 Year Old Daughter Watches Tv On The Unit Sometimes And I Do Not Want Her To Play With The Receiver. And The Onkyo Units Runs Very Hot Do I Need To Put A Fan On Unit. Once Again Thank You Very Much

Do I Need To Put A Fan On Unit?

Most likely not (unless you're running it in a hot room). Just make sure there is enough ventilation around the receiver (at least a few inches on top).

Also, there is no need to buy an expensive hdmi for that. Buy a very cheap one or use rca's.
