Hometheater Advice Needed.......

Hi Folks,

This is my first post on this forum, though I have been checking out the forum for a while now. This is a darn good place to check out stuff.

I am buying a small townhouse which has about 1300 sq.ft. of living space, and my living room is about 350 sq.ft. I do realize that I have a limited space to setup my audio and video. (I have wooden floors for acoustic resilence ;) )

For a hometheater/audio I have been thinking of two options. First - getting a Denon AV-1906 receiver with some floor standing speakers or bose acousticmass (any other recommendations?) and a Denon DVD/CD player. The second is getting the simplest setup - Bose Lifestyle 38. I have heard good stuff about Poineer too - no I don't have much idea about that. Regarding the TV, I am planning to get a 42" Plasma - Pioneer or Dell (both are avilable in Costco).

I want a rather simple setup that does not require too much of cabling/wiring and also which would allow me to play music via my laptop using the wireless - but good music quality.

I guess I am looking to spend about $6,000 max, so please let me know if there are any better setups out there.

Thanking you all in anticipation.

So I guess $2500.00 for the monitor.

$4168.00 plus tax. You may find them on sale. Or search the net.

Mordaunt Short package with the subs in the mains. Best speaker deal around with free shipping. $1599.99

$5767.99
You will need the rest of the money for cables and tax if you buy the others locally. The good thing is that only three HDMI cables are needed. Very clean. Oh, and speaker wire, a y-adapter for the subs, and two sub cables. I would recommend AR cables from accessories4less.com as well. They may give an additional discount with the speakers.

If you think a Bose system will be better than this, you have come to the wrong place for help.
