I tried some Paradigm Atoms bookshelf speakers for $200CAD a pair. The equivalent centre channel was $250. That's $650 for those 5. Nice enough. Was going to put that together for my parents. But they said no. That's the last time I'll ask if
I can BUY them something.

Now all you need is a sub. Should be able to get something in the $350 price range. I can't sugggest anything in that price range of the top of my head.

I'm sure someone else will help out.
Not sure what your receiver cost...but it is amazing what you can get for $1000-$2000. Most people buy those HTIB (home theater in a box) kits for $400+ and don't bother doing a little research. Those things suck. And the sub that came with it sucks and blows and the same time. It had a vented enclosure.

I had the unpleasure of trying to setup on of those. I felt so bad because their sound was awful and I could not do anything about it. Now, if they would only have listened to me........
