Home theater Setup?

Hi everyone, as you can see I am new to these forums but have read a great deal of your posts. I was wondering if someone could give me a few tips as to why or why not my home theater selection would be adequate. I currently have a Samsung 56” 1080p DLP. I’m looking to add surround…well basically everything. The additions I want are:

Reciever: Yamaha RX-v1500
Surround: Axiom Epic Grandmaster 350’s (the 5.1 set)
DVD player: OPPO v971h (Good reviews)

My room is 18x20 with cathedral ceilings (which is not good but I am stuck with it). I want a receiver for movie watching surround as well as music playing for entertaining purposes. I would also like it to run 4 outdoor Polk’s that I have incorporated into my deck by the pool. Is it possible to have that receiver run a couple in the house and the 4 outside? I also play video games at times and would like that in surround. I want to get my hands on an Xbox 360 someday. If there are any other details you need just bump me back. I still have a great deal of research to do and I am hoping some of your feedback will give me more direction! Thanks

Your setup looks great :) you may want to add another 2 surround speakers for the full 7.1, and if i were you, i would probably relpace the sub with an offering from svs. PB10-ISD or PB12-ISD whatever is in your budget.

As for your other question, I would probably look at buying separates instead of a receiver using separate amps for inside and outside use, aswell as an audio switcher (i think thats what its called) which works just like a video switcher.
