I have the Oppo BDP-105 that I am using as a pre-amp. Oppo is connected to Monolith 7x amplifier via analog. I am using ROKU via 4K HDMI directly into VAVA 4K projector and then using the VAVA HDMI ARC to send audio back to Oppo using the HDMI 1 ARC OUT. I have Klipsch speakers and Monolith 12" ported SW. For AUDIO ONLY I am running a coaxial from my SONOS to play a variety if music.
I have read that Oppo is an excellent pre-amp and as such many have said that I don't need another AV processor. Would love to hear from people who have a similar setup as to what they have learnt OR done to make the sound better and better OR am I undercutting the setup by not having a AV pre?
