Home Theater Set-Up

We have a Panasonic Viera Plasma, direct tv, and a ps3. We just purchased a Yahama YHT 495BL Home Theater system. We are having a bear of a time getting everything connected. At one point we had video on PS3 but sound from the TV show that was playing in the background.

Could someone walk us through what we need to do to get this thing connected? The instructions it comes with doesn't take a PS3 into account.

Use HDMI between PS3 and yamaha Receiver
Use HDMI between Direct TV receiver and yamaha receiver
Use HDMI between yahama receiver and tv

Should be good to go and just have to turn your input knob to select between the sources... what you select should be both what you see and hear.
