I guess this is as good a forum as any for this question. For those many Audio/Video holics here that also dabble into the pc realm.
I have an existing 7.1 system, Pioneer 7.1 RCVR w/HDMI Upconversion and Yamaha Surrounds and Sony tower Fronts with a 50" Hitachi PLasma. Instead of going the HD/Blue Ray DVD player route I want to incorporate a HTPC. Now it needs to have HDMI out with both HD Audio and Video over HDMI. I prefer it to be quiet as well of course....not silent, but something an A/V cabinet willl cover. And of course all the bells and whistles a typical HTPC comes with...remote....Windows Media Center.....wireless....bluetooth....etc. etc.
Another option I heard was to incorporate a PS3(Playstation 3)?
