Home Theater in a Box

Could any tell me what would be the best home theater in a box would be for $600. This is for my friend that watches alot of movies and listens to some music.

Just a question. Why is he interested in a htib? Is it for ease of setup/ purchase. I am just wondering because I just came from a htib to another setup and am more happy with it than I ever was with my htib and mine all said and done cost around $650. Just lettin you know that there are options out there if the cost is the issue.

I read about someone finding (but missing out the next day or something) a deal on the Onkyo HT-S990THX for $570. I think you can get it at around $700. If I had to absolutely have every component from the get-go, and at this budget, I think this is what I would do. I bet he will be very happy with it. If and when he gets more discerning, etc, he might upgrade the sub first, then center, etc. But maybe that day won't come... (unless he starts frequenting forums like these)

Then like I said a little bargain shopping and looking at frys can be the way to go. I think you will deffinately get better sound and quality by creating a setup. You dont have to spend alot to get a nice sound.
