Hey Everyone I was hoping for some helpful input. I am currently starting to build home theater in the basement so basically like a new construction but I do have some restrictions. The room is rectangular 13'6"W x 17'L There is no back wall as it leads to another area. I am planning on two rows of tiered seating and plan on 7.1 but don't know what the best speaker placement would be to accomodate both rows in regards to side surrounds. I was going to use in ceiling for rear surrounds but can not place them too close to the outer wall as there is a bump out on the ceiling which extends out about 4 feet on one side. This would place them closer to the center of the room(Is that ok?) Also looking for any speaker suggestions for in wall/ in ceiling budget for the 4 surrounds around $1500-1800. look forward to your input.
