Home Theater Assistance Needed

Hello,
I'm in the process of connecting a home theater system in a basement. I'm running everything thru an Onkyo tx-nr616 receiver via hdmi connections. Everything seems to be running pretty smooth with the exception of the watching cable. I am getting some slight pauses occasionally when watching cable tv. When I bypass the onkyo and connect the cable box directly to the tv the problem disappears. I'm wondering if there is a setting in the onkyo that can help with this issue. Here is the list of components:

Samsung 55 inch LED
Onkyo tx-nr616
Samsung (time warner cable) hd playback box
Samsung blue ray
Apple tv

All components connected by hdmi
Thanks for any advice

What kind of pauses? Audio or video? Do they happen at any specific times?

Try running a new HDMI Cable between the cable box and the receiver input.

Also use a different HDMI Input on the receiver to see if it still does the same.
