I just got back from the home builders show in milwaukee, friend invited me, and I had nothing else going on... As with any show, we started at one end and went up and down the isles... About 1/2 way through, I spot something I never expected to see... a Pair of B&W 802D's... fired up with some tube amps and whatever else... They were way out in the middle of exibit, with a dark wood grain... They looked pretty cool !!
I went up to them and a guy walked over and I started chatting with him, I said 802D's? he just gave me this funny look.. and smiled.. I said "Brilliant" We talked for a while about design and whatnot. It was pretty funny, as during our conversation a lady walked up all giddy and goofy and I could see the dealer getting a bit worried... all of a sudden she starts grabbin at the tweeter assembly and the dealer freaked... "Oh I thought it was a microphone" I amost pissed my pants..

I could see he was truly distressed, so I gave him a wave and walked off with my buddy, my buddy was like... what was that all about, having no clue about anything audio... I said those speakers are about $15,000.00 and Im sure he was not too thrilled about someone grabbin and pulling at them like that.... My buddy - $15000.00

It was an interesting surprise, not thinking I would see such a nice set of speakers there with all the custom install dealers, that had nothing to show there.. I did see a set of Dana's 680's though...
Thought I would share that priceless little story...
