Home amp vs pro amp question

I currently have a 2 channel stereo setup which consists of a proton aa1150 amp, adcom gtp602 preamp/tuner,velodyne hgs10 sub, audiocontrol c101 series III eq,and dynaudio 72se mains. The system sound is absolutely amazing.I really don't have any complaints except the amp is only 50x2 and the speakers are inefficent,so even with the 7db of dynamic power the amp has i need more power for sustained high volume listening.I was wondering if there are any drawbacks to using a pro amp for the mains like i see many people doing with their subs. The amp i had in mind was the Crown xti4000 and the distortion and sn ratings seem as good as any home amp.Are these amps musical enough to use with my dynaudios?Link of the amp is below,

The only issues are that (1) many pro amps have fan noise - so you usually need to replace the fan with a low noise unit (2) usually you need to use a $50-$60 conversion box to interface the low voltage consumer line signal to the high voltage line signal typical for pro gear, if you want to keep a high SNR. Samson S-Convert is one example.

I usually recommend the current pro Yamaha amps, as they have no fan noise to deal with, and are of top notch quality and performance. In addition, the rack mount side tabs are removable for use in a regular consumer audio rack. The Yamaha P5000S offers 500 x 2, into 8 ohms, both channels driven, 20Hz-20,000Hz. About 700 x 2 into 4 Ohms, both channels driven. It is around $600 USD, I believe. The Yamaha amps are suitable for ANY level/quality of stereo system, regardless of cost.
