Hmm towers? Yamaha NS-777, any thoughts?

Well, I currently have some cheap white van speakers that my brother gave to me.(I REALLY thought they were a good set of low / lower-mid end speakers... shows how much I know, right?)

Now I am looking for some "good" speakers, I really like the Yamaha NS-777, I know I came to the right place to ask if these are any good.

Or should I look into something else? (price range 200-300$ per speaker)

I have never bought a new speaker.I have had great luck on www.audiogon.com and Craigslist.I would look there 1st.......

I would trust it more than that other auction site.
