Anyone know anything about these? They look like nicely finished solid wood cabs and say they have Dali woofers. Have you heard em?

They seem to be built fairly well for white van... 5 way binding posts, and the specs list a xover point and reasonable wattage and FR ratings. I would be surprised if they were white van... I think some of the ebay listings shine a bad light on them. I've seen them for sale on audiogon before by a reputable seller if I remember correctly...

Probably decent speakers, just poorly marketed.

What do 5 -way binding posts have to do with quality?

Even people in white vans can learn to show proper specs. :D

Imho they look too good to be white van stuff, especially with Dali woofer, as Dali is very well know eu audio maker.
Plus the price is pretty low as well, but yes - poor marketing and web site design.
btw: This company is not hiding the fact its from Hong-Kong
plus they have another site:

I just looked at the ebay listing again and besides the Dali woofer it mentions an AR tweeter, Acoustic research? A Dali woofer and an Acoustic research tweeter should = good stuff, not white van. The cabinet looks quite good in the pic. Could this be a good speaker for cheap?????

Well, On the second look I found these:
http://hllyaudio.com/speaker/hlly-mt-3-real-wood-bookshelf-speaker-high-end-audio.html?zenid=kcmdih9j7gbskddart1p8u7886

They use very nexpensive single HiVi M3N 3" Aluminum/Magnesium Midbass woofer which doesn't produce anything above 9Khz, which means (and I'm far from expert here) without additional tweeter this speaker would be far from "Full Range"

The model I'm looking at is on ebay and has a tweeter. I wonder why it isn't on the website you mentioned though?

This is the direction that particular design (HLLY MT-3) is taking. Single driver "widebandwidth". http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?board=128.0

No crossover has it's advantages, but like any design, it also has compromises.
