I'm trying for the first time to use a digital connection from my girlfriend's Sony Blu-Ray player to the HK soundbar. Had been using the analog output from her TV, but the new TV doesn't have this option.
I got no sound using either the optical cable or digital co-ax. That is until the disc got through all the previews (which were in Dolby Digital) and to the title screen with setup options (which was in stereo). When streaming Netflix, 5.1 programming is also silent, which is why I'm thinking it has something to do with the surround. Not sure if it's the soundbar or the Blu-Ray player? I found the instructions online, but didn't see anything about a setting that needs to be changed, or anything like that. I've never experienced this conundrum. Any suggestions?
