Hello Friends,

I have recently finshed setting up my basement home theatre using HK AVR2600, Optoma HD33 and Sony Bluray (3d). Everything works perfectly for 2D, but when I try to watch a 3D movie, I cannot get the Bluray 3D signals to pass through the reciever. I see a message on the screen saying that one of my component does not support 3D operation. I have upgraded the firmware on the reciever and have checked if the HDMI cables (v1.4) are defective, found no problems.

I cannot understand as to what am I missing in my set up. Any suggestions are very welcome.
Thank you.

Welcome to the forum!

Have you tried connecting the blu-ray player directly to your projector? I'm asking because that could rule out that the issue is with either of those items. Well, and because I've been checking the internet and haven't found the answer for your receiver, yet. :)

Hello Adam,
Yes, I did connect the bluray player directly to the projector with the provided HDMI cable and I was able to get 3D picture. I also tried using the HDMI cable that I have installed in the wall and this too gives me a 3D picture.

Now, as M Code has suggested, I will try to set my AVR video proccessor to bypass and see if I get 3D picture and I will let you know soon.

Thank you btoh for your suggestions.
