Hi have an HK AVR 510 that I am trying to install a technics SLB-3 turntable for my vinyl fix. I bought a pre-amp from the HK parts depot in Canada and installed it acording to instructions. I am getting a hum through the system when I play the turntable. My immediate suspicion is the ground, since the turntable has a ground wire. However, There is no ground lug on reciever. I tried grounding to reciever chassis cover screws, but no different. I am going to run a new outlet on a seperate breaker for the entertainment eqpt, just to eliminate all possibilities. Anyone have any other ideas?
