HK & audio drop outs

For HK users, have they fixed their audio dropout problems? A couple of years ago I had an AVR 130 that looked and sounded great. The only thing I couldn't get over is that whenever I listened to a cd it would cut off the first second or 2 of the songs. Sounds minor but believe me it was very annoying. I ended up returning it to CC for a refund. I'm wondering if the 40 series has this same issue because they are on closeout right now and I'm considering a 240 model. But if this issue still exists I'll look elsewhere. I'm curious to hear thoughts from other HK users who may have experienced this same problem and whether or not it's been fixed. Thanks guys

I bought an HK635 a few months ago and it does cut the first second or two off the first song of a cd. It is only mildly annoying to me, so I don't sweat it. I'm very satisfied with everything else about it.

masak, I noticed you own both the HK 240 and Marantz SR 6200. Which one sounds better for 2 channel music to your ears? Music quality is my primary concern and I have been debating between Marantz and HK
