Hitachi 46F500 DVI or Componet

My Hitachi 46F500 has a DVI input. Is there an advantage should I use this input, or the componet video input? This is a RPTV CRT. Trying to decide how to upgrade my DVD player. Wether to go with the Opo-974 or the Denon 1920.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For the price I am very pleased with my Oppo

So if money is a big factor I would say the Oppo. However the Denon units are what I would get if I had the cash for sure. The Oppo only upconverts from the DVI cable from what I have read so you would want to use the DVI-HDMI cable they supply with DVD player or upgrade to a bigger one (I went with Monster before I found this site and the numderous great cable products available cheeper)
