Help! I am moving into a new home with considerably less space for the home theater. I am having to give up my Polk LSi towers for a small sat/sub system. I have researched the Mordaunt-Short Premieres, Def Tech Mythos, Monitor Radius, JM-Focal Sibs, the AG Micros/A'diva, Mission M-Cubes, and M&K K-15/K-4. I have heard the Def Techs, the Monitors, and the JM-Focal speakers.

I live in a smaller city so it takes great effort to find some of these speakers. I was hoping that someone can tell me their experiences with any or all of these speakers. The use of a sub is not a problem.

If it is a monitor-style speaker it must be less than 10" tall. Total budget of < $3000. Also, any other speakers in this price range that my wife would allow.

You can go with the 52's, the 62's (may be too large), or the in walls. These sound outstanding for the price. I have a set of 62's that I bought back in college (early 90's) and they still sound great.

that's a shame about the 10" rule, because the Monitor Audio Silver RS 1 are 12" tall. You could get the RS1, RS-lcr, and the RS-fx, and mail order sub for less than 3 grand. That would be an awesome set-up, though not as good as getting the Gold set-up. However the Gold 10's are 14" tall and that would be too much outside of the 10" rule.

It's a shame you have the "10 inch rule".

Odyssey Audio has two wonderful speakers for bedrooms, apartments or any smaller spaced rooms.

The Epiphony are amazing bookshelf speakers, which sound so smooth and musical. They image like crazy.

I have the Nightingales and they are great speakers. Small footprint and down-firing bass port, which allows close placement to walls. But they are floorstanders and are much taller than 10 inches. I use them in my bedroom. Wonderful speakers....I love them!

Odyssey also has the Nemesis center channel speaker.
