Hezbollah supporters in Canada.

Recently, some Canadian supporters of Hezbollah raised a billboard in Windsor supporting that group. As you recall, Hezbollah was the group that kidnapped an Israeli soldier at a border post and launched missiles into Israeli cities, prompting last years war between Hezbollah and Israel in Lebanon. This group is listed as a terrorist organization in Canada and the U.S., yet these people can openly raise a billboard in support.

Here's a link to my local paper. I hope it works without having to register.

Hey Dave.

I really have no problem with their message except for the last affinity “We will speak about human rights, about the truth, about Nasrallah. We’re going to do it and nobody can stop us."

I'm all for human rights and the truth. If they would have left Nasrallah out of their message, I see no harm. That being said, associating with Hezbollah and Nasrallah are imprudent things to do in this neck of the woods...and Jerusalem.

Ther eis no comon sense anymore. None whatsoever in the world. Everything is rule of law with no moral truth, unless someone in power decides to circumvent the law as needed, of course.

Imprudent? My understanding is that it is illegal to promote identified terrorist organizations. The billboard came down this morning, but I have not heard of any charges being laid, or considered.

If Canada is to become openly a haven for terrorist groups and their supporters, then perhaps the United States should do something to protect its own interests at the Canada/U.S. Border.

Does anybody know of a congressman or senator who has an interest in defending the U.S. from terrorist threats from Canada? I would be glad to forward this information to somebody with enough clout to shame my government into doing the right thing.

Imprudent?
Yes. I really detest guilt by association.

I suppose in these scary :eek::eek: times, we need to be more vigilant. And of course it is illegal to affiliate with a known terrorist group. Raise some hell and get some answers from your leaders on what is going to be done to those proponents of terrorist groups.

Pretty ballsy.

Yep, I guess they're all for 'human rights' so long as human doesn't include Jews, Christians, or other infidels.

I couldn't access the entire article, but there was mention of a public backlash. No governmental response, Dave?

There has been no government response so far, other than our mayor who thinks it's inappropriate.

edit - As a Canadian, I cannot even so much as send an e-mail to a U.S. Congressman. If any Americans here care to alert their congressman to the issue of Canadians openly supporting and raising funds in support of listed terrorist organizations, please feel free to forward this information. I think our Canadian government may need to be either shamed or pressured into acting on this growing threat.

No way, they wouldn't want to stir the ire of the terrorists, I mean really, they're the victims.;)

That doesn't surprise me one bit.

If you've watched any of the "Drive-By" media reporting, it's obvious liberals clearly depict Hezbo as the victims, and Israel as the real problem in the Middle East.

Don't feel bad, I cannot send an email to an out of state Senator, only constituents, I guess are allowed. But, I bet, their office would take a phone call. Not sure what they would do with it.

Yeah, how dare we foreign nationals look out for the interests of the United States.

What's next for Canada? Hamas fundraisers at the local banquet hall? Taliban appreciation night at our local Hooters?

I wouldn't be surprised Dave! For years the terrorists had dummy charities collecting money for them right here in the US!
