Hi all,

I recently moved to a new house and my options have diminished. I went from a 15 x 20 dedicated room to a nicely finished basement. Here is the issue: I have a room I can dedicate which is 12.6 x 14 or I can knock the walls down, which will open the entire basement up including playroom area and small kitchenette (2 little boys bouncing around!). Total would be like 22 x 28'ish with a few small columns (not blocking view). I currently have a 110" fixed screen and don't remember product names but some really kick butt speakers and Denon receiver which should do the job. Oh and the ceiling is only 6.6' Can someone provide some guidance?

Should I just pop like 4 seats in the smaller room- seating position would be like 11.6' from screen? or;

Should I open all the walls? I would not be able to paint the whole ceiling black and all the walls purple, just the one wall and the ceiling between the screen and chairs.

Should I carpet over the tile/concrete?

What would you do?????

I am planning on doing it over the weekend, please help.

Well, you definitely want to carpet over any tile or concrete floor...
