HELP! Yamaha RX-V650 cannot activate (OSD) On Screen Display

Help...I have set up my Yamaha with component cables going to my receiver then on to my TV. However, I cannot seem to activate the OSD. When I push the On Screen Button on the remote, it tells me that the option is off, however, it does not give me an option to activate it.

Any help would be appreciated

I don't think the RX-V650 will allow OSD through component connections. S-video and composite yes, but not component.

I agree with nomosony. You're gonna have to hook up an S-video cable to your monitor from your "monitor out" on your receiver, then switch to that input when you want to use the OSD.

I had the same problem with my Yamaha htr-5760...I was connected through component and didn't receive any OSD until I connected the via composite..not sure if it will work via S-video.
