I am sure this has been posted before so I apologize in advance. Anyway I just received my new Marantz 7701 and Marantz 7055. I am going to be ordering my XLR cables and don't know what to get. I have looked at Audioquest (too expensive), Monster, Monoprice, and Bluejeans. Can anyone help or give a recommendation. I will be getting 3 or 6 foot cables as I am stacking the units.

Thanks in adavance,

It doesn't really matter. Don't expect any sonic differences between any of them.

Cool, Thanks for the input. I have one more question. When reading the manual it says the Marantz units use the European Pin and when using the USA pin setup on the xlr connection to switch pins 1 and 2 (or 1 and 3 forgot). What does this mean and how do I do that. Sorry, first xlr setup (very excited)

If you're using a Marantz preamp and a Marantz amp then there's nothing to do. Just plug them in and go. If you're wondering why the diagrams on the rear panels are opposite of one another, it's because the 7701 has male plugs for the outputs and the amp has female inputs.

For future reference this is what they're talking about and both units have diagrams right on the back panel

I like emotiva xlrs for form and function {but more for their form...} plus they had nice short ones that fit my system perfectly... X Series Balanced XLR | Emotiva Audio | High-end audio components for audiophiles and videophiles, spanning 2-channel music systems, as well as 5.1 and 7.1 home theaters. Products include multichannel amplifiers, stereo amplifiers, and monoblock ampl

although since you are using them for ht, these would be nice and a lot less money http://www.amazon.com/GLS-Audio-Patch-Cable-Cords/dp/B000RWJQRE/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1383255042&sr=8-4&keywords=xlr+cable+gls and I think gls makes them as short as 2 feet...
