Help with the calibration of new LCD

I just bought a new 40" Samsung 4053 TV I have it at the default settings and was wondering if I need to pay someone to calibrate it or does anyone have any suggestions as to what numbers I should set the brightness etc too

You should look into the Avia or Digital Video Essentials calibration disks and you should be able set it up fairly well on your own. Check Amazon.
