Help with system purchase

I am looking to purchase a home audio system for a maximum price of around 1200. I would like a good system with small speakers and I have been looking at the Paradigm Cinema 90 or the Definative technology ProCinema 800 (if there is a different system with similar sized speakers please let me know). Which of these systems should I purchase? Also, could you recommend a receiver for these speakers? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

As to a receiver, the critical question is "do you want audio and video handled over HDMI with lossless HD audio decoding"....or....is conventional Dolby 5.1 over Toslink optical or digital audio coaxial cable OK ???

Just to assume you want full HDMI capability, start your search with these models: Denon 590, Onkyo SR507, Pioneer 819, Yamaha 465/565. Not sure about the entry H/K model with full HDMI capability.
