In process of selecting surround sound and other speaker components for basement remodel and would appreciate any insight.
The layout of the basement is an L shape with the main room being
15' by 26' and off the back it opens to a 20' by 12' space so there is a 12' opening between areas. Ceiling is 7"6" and there are some soffets built around HVAC and beams. (no soffets in the 15 by 26 section.
The TV will go at the front of the 15 by 26 room with sectional seating about 12 feet back and a pool table in the back half of the room.
I am trying to decide between ceiling mount or wall mount speakers for the surround sound and world like to have speakers for stereo in the 20 by 12 area.
Any ideas (5:1, 7:1, ceiling or wall mount; brand) would be helpful.
