Help with Russound CAS 44 multizone amp

I purchased a Russound CAS44 multizone amp with 3 kp4 keypads. I have connected the cat 5 cable to the keypad with a punchdown tool and connected the other end of the cat 5 to the russound unit. When I turn on the Russound unit, the volume lights on the keypad flicker on once and then I cannot get the keypad to turn on. I tried connecting a different cat5 cable to a different keypad and the same thing happened. I also get the keypad to flicker when I use a remote control near the keypad but nothing else. Any help diagnosing this problem would be extremely helpful and most appreciated.

I suspect you have had problems with the puchdown tool and have bad connections and or short circuits.

You need to check connections with a meter. You will very likely have to call a professional installer if you continue to have problems.
