I'm getting ready to set up a PSB Imagine B system with the bookshelves, C Center, 10" 200 Subwoofer, and the surrounds. Well I have no idea what to do with the Surrounds for it states the following( Imagine S Surround.

The Imagine S is a
dual-two-way, selectable dipole/bipole/dual channel monopole surround loudspeaker which may be connected as two discrete (side/rear) two-way pairs
in compatible systems. There's talk of treating it like a 7.1 system too. Can someone advise me on what goes into my decision on how to set them up? I have three options and no clue on any one of the three on how they will impact me. My priority is music and have some SACD discs and of coarse the family's priority is movies. Any advice from someone that can explain this in basic terms will be deemed a hero. I really like this system , I just want to be able to max it out. Thanks, Linc

I could be corrected but using Bi or Dipole is only recommended for HT to create wides sound field and better ambiance, but for mostly music I'd wire them for 7.1 in this layout

This way [SR] will get both Surround Right Side and Surround Right Rear connections from the receiver (hopefully yours does support 7,1 channels)
In this case it's reciever job to properly distribute audio. I would recommend using auto room calibration with as many point measurement as possible.
