so, i have this receiver: sherwood ra2160 digital synthesizer am/fm stereo receiver
vary old one and google does'nt help vary much
anyone know what? who? when? why? hehehe
i want to know all about it...

What is there to know? Unlike the ones they sell to day with 200-page owner’s manuals, vintage receivers are the epitome of simplicity. Just hook everything up and go.

It's your typical late 80's stereo receiver, probably 50-60 watts per channel and no frills coupled with an aesthetic that can only be described by saying "Looks good enough in the garage".

IIRC, if it's the one of the ones I'm thinking of, it's not a true "digital" tuner. It's an analog tuner with a digital frequency display.
